Serendipity Limited Edition Print
The third wave in the collection. This one may have been the most challenging, but I will tell you it's the closest to the photo realism! The natural colors almost make this one look like a gemstone.
I started painting waves in 2021, But they were quick 30-45 min small paintings that I did in my exercise book. I found them therapeutic, my love for the ocean is no secret, sometimes I think I was born to be a West coast girl but I'm landlocked in Minnesota because I love my family. Don't get me wrong MN is a beautiful state. But the salty sea breeze and sound of crashing waves always floods me a feeling thats hard to explain.
So I set out to paint waves large and in detail. Each painting seemed to linger on my table for a whole month while I slowly chipped away at them. I love each of these painting so much and I hope they connect with you they way they do with me.
The photo reference for this one come from Chris Dolbin who was kind enough to let me paint his beautiful photo
